About us

Who we are

Our Guiding Principle

Our Guiding Principle emanates from two powerful verses in the Bible. Proverbs 22:6 reads “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it” and Psalms 127:3 says “Children are a heritage from the Lord”.

As such, we as parents and teachers are therefore accountable in educating and preparing them for a life of excellent service to God and society.

Admission

The Baguio Pines Family Learning Center is duly recognized by the Philippine Government through the Department of Education and is given permit to operate Pre – school and Elementary courses. BP Family Learning Center is non – sectarian and admits pupils without discrimination on the basis of race, color, disability, gender, religion, nationality or ethnic origin.

Our Management Committee

The BP Family Learning Center is managed by a group of educators and administrators who have the responsibility from the Board of Trustees to direct the affairs of the school.

The main responsibility of the Management Committee is to appoint the Principal and supervise his / her work, to recruit teachers and other personnel, or approve the budget, fees, salary levels and the like. Generally, they are to ensure that the school meets its goals or mission.

In practice, parents, pupils, and for most of the time, the faculty and other employees have no direct contact with the Management Committee, as the responsibility for all the administrative and routine policy remains with the Principal. All faculty and other personnel directly report to the Principal.

As an established procedure, the Management Committee should not be directly approached , and that all matters affecting pupils, parents and employees should be addressed to the Principal, or whoever has been delegated by him or her, to deal with such matters.

School Principal

The Principal is the officer in charge of the school system and oversees the day to day activities in school. He / she has the responsibility of executing the policies and directives in school from the Department of Education as well as directives from the Management Committee. As such, all correspondence with the school and all matters of routine academic actions, special permission slips, parent – teacher conferences, discipline, admissions, scholarships, class schedules, the records, fees / payments and the like should be addressed to the Principal.

When educating the minds of our youth, we must not forget to educate their hearts.
